Program Introduction
Law firm clients (and their clients) expect maximum value for their investment in deposition-related services. The Certified Multimedia Expert (CME) program was created to meet the increasing demands on companies providing court reporting and video services. Graduates of the program will possess the practical skills and advanced expertise to optimize the quality and delivery of all services involving various media formats (electronic transcripts, scanned exhibits, audio/video, internet streaming, and on-demand access).

As a member of the CME program, you will be trained and certified on manual and auto-synching of audio/video, exhibit linking, proper media delivery options, streaming live depositions with LiveNote Stream, producing LEF and Publisher Bundle files, and using online repositories for transcripts, exhibits and multimedia files. The training also includes helpful information to support the court reporter at deposition sites. What is the cost to join?
Registration is $695 per person and includes two days of comprehensive training and the certification exam.

Who is eligible for the CME training and testing?
This program represents a higher education course geared towards those in the production departments of legal media service companies. Ideal candidates might have already gained industry certifications or acquired work experience in deposition videography, court reporting or legal media post-production work.

How is the certification training done?
The training is conducted during an on-site workshop and is followed by an in-depth exam. Together, the workshop and the exam span 1.5 days (a Thursday afternoon and all day Friday). Training is held in San Francisco several times each year. Upcoming Dates
All CME training sessions are held in San Francisco, CA. Starting in 2008, all sessions will start on a Thursday afternoon and will conclude at the end of the day on Friday -- spanning a total of 1.5 days.
