Service Provider Tools
There are two ways in which you can provide realtime text to your clients. These are explained on this page: www.livenote.com/realtime.asp. The following information outlines the technology a court reporter must have in order to provide the service.
- Serial Realtime: Court reporters will need serial cables (and possibly a USB-Serial adapter) to connect their CAT laptop to the on-site attorney's laptop that has LiveNote SR installed. Court reporters do not require any special software to provide serial realtime.

- Download the LiveNote Serial Writer™ utility to test the serial ports before the deposition or trial.
- Internet Realtime (LiveNote Stream): Court reporters will need LiveNote Stream Manager software and a dedicated broadband Internet connection. The use of the LiveNote Stream service must be scheduled with LiveNote at least 72 hours prior to the event.
